What sets us apart?

At LGS JTI Senior, we believe that school should be a place where students feel happy, engaged, and inspired to learn. We see parents as partners in this journey and value their input. While we may not always be able to accommodate every request, we promise to listen. We believe that when students are encouraged to explore their natural curiosities, academic excellence follows naturally.

Our IGCSE Tracks

We offer both a two-year and a three-year IGCSE track to cater to different learning styles and academic goals.

The Two-Year Track

This is an accelerated program designed for students who are comfortable handling a more rigorous pace and prefer to take fewer subjects—typically between 8 and 11. This track is best suited for students who can manage a faster pace of learning while maintaining strong academic performance.Students from Class 8 who wish to opt for the two-year track will be required to take an admissions test for Mathematics and Science to ensure they are prepared for the demands of the accelerated program. Students in the two-year track will complete all their exams in a single session and will not have the option to appear for some subjects in the October/November series.

The Three-Year Track

This track offers a more balanced approach, allowing students to take between 9 and 15 subjects. This extended timeline provides more room for academic exploration, helping students discover their strengths and interests before deciding on a specialized path. Additionally, it gives them more flexibility to participate in co-curricular activities, competitions, and internships without feeling the pressure of a timeline. All students in the three-year track will take Pakistan Studies and Islamiat at the end of their second year. They also have the option to appear for three additional subjects at the end of the second year if they wish. However, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Art & Design must be taken in the final year of the program to ensure depth of study. This structure allows them to spread out their workload while still ensuring they gain exposure to a variety of subjects.

Subject Selection and Progression after IGCSE

At LGS JTI Senior, we believe IGCSE is a time for exploration, not specialization. This is why we discourage students from selecting Business Studies, Commerce, and Accounting at this stage—there will be ample opportunity to specialize in these subjects later. Instead, we encourage students to develop a strong academic foundation across a broad range of disciplines.

While our IGCSE programme is structured to provide a smooth transition into the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), we also recognize that some students may choose to pursue A Levels after completing IGCSE with us. Our curriculum is designed to keep pathways open, ensuring that students are well-prepared for either academic route based on their future aspirations.

Research and Global Perspectives

Our IGCSE curriculum is designed to be research-oriented, which is why Global Perspectives (GP) is a compulsory subject in the first year. GP fosters independent research skills and critical thinking by allowing students to explore global issues of personal interest, preparing them to become well-informed global citizens.

One of the key reasons we have made GP compulsory is because it serves as excellent preparation for the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The research, analysis, and inquiry-based learning skills developed in GP closely align with the demands of the IBDP, particularly in subjects like the Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). By engaging with GP early on, students build a strong foundation for the research-intensive nature of the IB, making their transition to the program smoother and more effective.

Student Portfolios and Holistic Development

Education at LGS JTI Senior goes beyond academics. From the moment a student joins our IGCSE program, we begin curating a personalized portfolio that tracks their extracurricular activities, internships, and volunteer work. We provide continuous guidance on passion projects, research opportunities, and enrichment activities tailored to their interests and future aspirations.

By nurturing both academic and personal growth, we aim to ensure that every student is equipped to thrive—not just in exams, but in life.
